Zinc Kettles

Furnace for hot dip galvanizing built around a steel kettle

The furnace system is made up of standard panels around a steel kettle. There are two types of panels, heated and unheated. The heated panels are mounted along the long sides of the kettle and the unheated ones at the ends. The panels are fixed to the kettle brim and are allowed to expand in the bottom of the structure. The panels are handled with the help of a special lifting tool and fixed to the kettle brim. The panels are mounted in our workshop and are packaged in pairs for transport. In order to limit the height the furnace bottom is placed directly on an insulation consisting of calcium silicate boards. The thickness, 150 mm, ensures that the underlying concrete is not exposed to excessive temperature.
